Art Classes for All Ages and Skill Levels

Let’s explore the world of art together! Each of our fantastic programs uses different artistic mediums and techniques to help release your inner creativity. You’re never too young or too old to experience the joy that comes from artistic expression.

Here is our Children’s line up of Classes

  • Learn to Draw Class (6 to 13 yrs) – students will learn basics of drawing including types of pencils, shading, smudging, drawing tools, ways to hold a pencil, negative space, line quality, and much more and includes Impressionism, Post-Impressionism right up to Modern Art styles. This is a very popular class and fills up quite quickly. Join our teacher Slaydge for this incredible class.
  • Pottery and Clay Works Class (6 to 13 yrs) – students will dabble in all things clay! They will learn all about glazing pottery, including specialty techniques such as silk screening. They will be pouring a mold with slip and learning how to fill the kiln by stilting or dry footing their piece. They will be hand building projects with clay and learning proper use of sculpting tools while following the art styles of some of the most famous artists. Join our teachers Kate and Angela for this incredible class.
  • Mixed Media Class (6 to 13 yrs) – Explore art using many different materials such as paint, canvas, paper mache, Styrofoam, wood, paper, beads and many more. These often 3D type art projects use several of these mediums and techniques to create a masterpiece! You will also be working with plaster, 2D and 3D sculptures, colour mixing patterns, textures and more. Join our teacher Kate for this incredible class.
  • Girls Only Class (6 to 13 yrs) – One of our most popular classes! Look out Martha Stewart! We’ve got girl projects to inspire the creative diva in you. This class is truly like our slogan “Learning Art Through Fun!” Previous classes have included lamps, memo boards, vases, tiled night stands and many more. Join our teacher Kate for this incredible class.
  • Glorious Glass Class (9 to 16 yrs) – students will learn how to make fused glass projects such as pendants, coasters, sun catchers, glass frit picture and fibre damming. They will also learn how to properly cut and snap glass with a variety of cutting tools, mosaic clippers and get a smooth finish using our glass grinder. But that’s not all! We will be doing mosaics and glass painting using acrylic and glass paint. Safety first will be taught and each student will be provided with appropriate safety equipment such as googles.   • Learn to Paint Class (6 to 13 yrs.) – students will be taught about all the different artist paint brushes, what they are used for, proper care and many techniques in acrylic and water colour painting. Join our teacher Slaydge for this incredible class.

  • Learn to Paint Class (18 + yrs) – students will be taught about all the different artist paint brushes, what they are used for, proper care, brush strokes, and many techniques in acrylic and water colour painting. All supplies are included in this class, but we will have a 5 piece brush set available to purchase if you would like your own set for $10.00 + HST. We have three fabulous terms of classes to choose from. Also, if you select a class in each term, we’ll throw in a 10% discount, that’s an average savings of over $65.00!
